Slow submissions and report viewing degradation

At 8:45PM PT, Turnitin began to experience slow and degraded submissions, as well as slow or unresponsive report viewing. Things began to recover at 9:15pm PT, but submissions and report processing are continuing to be slow.

The code bugs were identified and code to fix the problem was released. The paper processing backlogs took from 9:15pm PT until 11:48pm PT to finish. During that time, submissions were still possible, but were very slow.
